Invited by Shana Lutker to be a part of her CONTEMPORARY MUSEUM OF TEMPORARY CONTAINERS (CMTC) an installation of single-use containers donated by the local community.
Presented by CURRENT:LA FOOD - fifteen newly commissioned public art projects across Los Angeles that examine multiple facets of food. Through an intricate partnership between artists and community partners across the city, CURRENT:LA FOOD’s stimulating participatory art projects and programs shed light on the precarious balance between pleasure and peril around food today & the many ways food gives expression to social and political life. Supported by ICA:LA.

The Storefront ODD ARK • LA currently occupies was previously a small neighborhood convenience store that offered an eclectic mix of snacks, soft drinks, cigarettes, booze, lottery tickets and knick-knacks amongst other goods. For this exhibition, we will revisit the history of our space as the gallery is transformed back into a small bodega-like market, lined with makeshift shelves, hand-made display cases, clothing-rack and other support structures that tweak conventional methods of displaying art and tease strategies of merchandising and sales.
